3rd XI Match Report - 29/5/22

A recap of Saturday's win for the 3rd XI v Halesowen.

The 3rd XI played Halesowen CC for the second Saturday in a row.

We bowled and fielded with great discipline on a good batting track restricting Halesowen to 132 - 4 off 40 overs. Particular mention should go to the youngsters Fin Horton, Tom Flowers and Theo Stevens and the ever young Chris Chattaway.

When it came to our innings, once again our top order collapsed leaving us on 39-5 . Thankfully, Andy MCKevitt used all his experience to score 41 and would have seen us home if it had not been for the only error of his innings with 10 runs needed. Simon Flowers eventually hit us over the line and 20 points which sees us in 2nd place as we go to Lye on Sunday.
